The Center has been in operation since early 2024. With full support from the University, the renovation of the office on the 8th floor of Lixian Hall was completed at the end of March this year for use by administrative staff and visiting scholars for research.
To celebrate this landmark moment, the Center held an opening ceremony for the newly renovated office on May 13. Attendees include NTU President Wen-Chang Chen; the Center's donor, Chual-Hsin Teng, CEO of Thin Chang Corporation; former Vice President Chin-shing Huang of Academia Sinica, and Director Jen-der Lee of the Institute of History and Philology; Dean Yu-yu Cheng of the College of Liberal Arts, Dean Chun-Chieh Wu of the College of Science, Dean Tzong-Lin Wu of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Dean Shing-yang Hu of the College of Management, Dean Yu-Pin Lin of the College of Bioresources and Agriculture from NTU; Department heads and faculty members from the College of Liberal Arts. Our visiting fellows including Professor Evan Dawley, Professor Alexis Lycas, Professor Laura Jo-Han Wen, and junior visiting fellow Weicheng Huang also attended.
